Pre-School Daily Activities

MORNING

Arrival and breakfast

PRE-SCHOOL: DAILY ACTIVITIES

OPEN 6:30 A.M. - 9:00 A.M.

Children play quietly and eat breakfast. As they finish their meal, they partake in “Free Play” at our Learning Centers until all children have arrived and have finished eating.

GROUP TIME

9:00 A.M. - 9:25 A.M.

General welcome and talk discussion about daily activities. We will Read-A-Book out loud to the group and have the group sing songs together.

ACTIVITY LEARNING CENTERS

9:25 A.M - 10:45 A.M.

Children will play with blocks, experiment in creative arts, engage in dramatic play, read, do age-appropriate math or science activities or write. Children in small groups will rotate every twenty minutes from one Activity Center to the next, having the opportunity to explore different Activity Centers. Teachers will work closely with children while in math and science centers to gage each child's developmental stage. Equally so will teacher’s pay attention to children in other activity centers to ensure proper engagement in activities and are being treated fairly. Children are encouraged to use their imagination in the different Activity Centers. On designated days Teachers will be required take the children in class to explore the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Center that will be located in the Multipurpose Auditorium.

MORNING SNACK

10:45 A.M. - 11:00 A.M.

Children will have a healthy snack like crackers and peanut butter or cheese and crackers with water .

OUTDOOR + INDOOR PLAY

11:00 A.M. - 11:50 A.M.

During the outdoor/indoor play, children will run, jump, bike ride, play with balls, play games (hide-go-seek), climb as a part of developing their motor skills.

AFTERNOON

Lunch Time

11:50 A.M. - 12:30 P.M.

Children will wash hands, help teacher set the tables and prepare to each a healthy lunch.

REST TIME PREP

12:30 P.M. - 12:45 P.M.

Every is encourage to help clean up from lunch and prepare to rest.

Rest/Nap Time

12:45 P.M. - 2:15 P.M.

Though many children will fall asleep from being tired, there may be some who may not. Those who are unable to fall asleep will engage in a quiet activity such as looking at a books, drawing or play with a soft teddy bear,

ACTIVITY LEARNING CENTERS

2:15 P.M. - 3:00 P.M.

Children in small groups will be allowed to come back to the Activity Centers in twenty minute segments to play and explore activities that they were not able to engage in the morning Activity Center time. At the teacher's discretion, children will also engage in a theme related activity led by a teacher.

GROUP TIME

3:00 P.M. - 3:15 P.M.

This is a time when the teacher gather the group of children together and talk about the day's events. The teacher will purposely tell the children specifically about how great their presence was in the classroom REGARDLESS OF ANY MISBEHAVIOR. Our teacher WILL NOT REMIND children at Kool Kidz Daycare of their inappropriate behavior of any sort, but instead reminds the child(dren) how much we are looking forward to seeing them to have a great next day!

Afternoon Snack

3:15P.M.- 3:30 P.M.

Children will have a nutritious snack to fill their little tummies like grape, cheese and crackers, etc.

Outdoor Play/Indoor Play (inclement weather)

3:30 P.M. - 4:15 P.M.

Children will either play on their own or participate in group activities. They will run, jump, climb, ride, and play with balls, etc.

TRANSITION

4:15 P.M - 4:30 P.M.

Clean up and wash hands.

Activity Learning Centers and Pick Up/Drop Off

4:30 P.M. - Closing

While some children are in wait of Pick Up, they will have the opportunity to explore the Activity Centers in the classrooms and play freely. Sometimes Pre-schoolers will also be given the opportunity (when not in use by School Age) to participate in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Centers located in the Multipurpose Auditorium.

TRANSPORTED HOME BY KOOL KIDZ STAFF

6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Children who receive transportation from Kool Kidz Daycare Center will be transported home during this time.
